Quick fry bread recipe
This is a real fast, simple bread recipe. It uses flour,
baking powder and salt, with water. Its similar to drop biscuits, but with
the technique I use, it comes out flat on both sides and golden brown. You
can make the bread thick to slice open for sandwiches, or to cover with sauce,
syrup, jelly etc. You can add herbs, spices or flavorings to make any
flavor you like. From Italian bread to sugar/cinnamon bread, or just
simple biscuits.

Makes 4 large biscuits

1 Cup all purpose flour |
 |
1 tsp baking powder |

1/2 tsp salt |

water enough to make into stiff dough |
Mix all the above ingredients to form soft ball, set aside
while you get the skillet hot.
In a heavy skillet pour in enough oil to cover the bottom
well. When skillet is hot, spoon 1/4 of the dough into the skillet in
one ball, using a metal spoon, carefully dip the spoon backside into the
hot oil, use the hot spoon to flatten out the top of your biscuit to the
desired thickness. Repeat for rest of the dough. When brown on
bottom, turn over to brown the tops. Adjust the heat as needed to cook
all the way through. Slice, top, enjoy. Great for fast simple
snack sandwiches with tomato, tuna, avocado, or what ever.
